Two new top appointments have been made at Bristol City Council and Telford & Wrekin Council. The director of resources at Telford & Wrekin Council, Victor Brownlees, has been made intermin chief executive, after less than two years at the authority. He was previously clerk and chief executive of Armagh City & DC in Northern Ireland. He said: ‘We have a clear job to do. I am looking forward to working with all councillors, partners and, most importantly, the community we serve.' Adverts for the permanent chief executive role will go out next month, with interviews due to take place in July. At Bristol City Council, Annie Hudson has been named director of children, young people and skills. She has been interim director since January. She was previously director of adult community care at the council, and head of children's services in Bristol and Wiltshire. Ms Hudson began work as a social worker. She said: ‘My priority is to provide clear leadership, working to further drive up performance.'
