The Assistant Director role is a hugely important role within the Council and will be tasked with ensuring the positive change programme and momentum of improvement is continued by building and maintaining critical relationships with our partners and stakeholders across the borough. This is a vital role that plays a hugely important part in keeping children and young people in Wokingham safe, and underpins their future wellbeing and life chances. We recognise that this is might be a significant step for you, so we will ensure the support is in place to help you make a smooth transition. We are seeking qualified social worker who has worked in either a statutory or commissioning role who understands the challenges of this hugely important role. We are eager now to complete the appointments to the senior team, so that we can build some real momentum, continuity and creativity in how we lead and develop Children's Services.
