Town hall bosses have warned the fire service must undergo major reform if it is to continue and avoid a £600m funding gap.

In a report published on 12 March, the Local Government Association (LGA) claims fire authorities in England will have £600m less to spend in five years time and community budget schemes are the most likely to suffer from any budget cuts.
