Benefits, revenue, finance, personnel and IT operations are to be run by a joint team made up of staff from Watford BC and Three Rivers DC. The partnership is expected to save both councils £1.6m a year. The new team, made up of staff from both councils, aims to make services run more efficiently when staff are away. The team will provide benefits, revenue, finance, personnel and IT operations. The chief executive at Three Rivers DC, Steven Halls, said: ‘This takes this joint working up a level and we've been especially pleased that we have managed to get so many services into the programme.' The formation of the team was a common sense move, according to the leader of Three Rivers DC, Ann Shaw. ‘This is a practical and common sense approach to providing benefits services and back office tasks.'
