Tewkesbury and Cotswold DCs are holding talks with Cheltenham DC over the sharing of waste services. If a successful scheme was implemented, the three councils could save thousands of pounds by working together on collecting household waste and business rubbish. The agreement would see Cheltenham and Tewkesbury sharing Cheltenham's vehicle and maintenance depot later this year, and waste services by 2009-10. Cotswold DC would join up in 2010, and a joint service for three could by in place by 2012.
