Aberdeenshire CC and Aberdeen City Council have signed a shared services deal. The chief executives and leaders of the two councils signed the agreement last year, and a group from both authorities will oversee the agreement. The group will look at areas in which the two councils can work together, such as procurement. ‘I believe this is the way forward,' said Aberdeenshire chief executive, Alan Campbell. ‘Economies will be made which will translate into improving frontline services even further.'
