The chief executive of Sheffield City Council has written to the deputy prime minister to set the record straight on the local authority's finances.
John Mothersole wrote to Nick Clegg, who is also the MP for Sheffield Hallam, following his comments last month that the council had spent £2.2m on refurbishing meeting rooms and was holding £167m in reserves.
