Sheffield City Council has defended its track record in helping local firms after the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, branded them as 'anti-business'.

The Sheffield Hallam MP has written to chief executive, John Mothersole, and claimed the council could miss out on nearly 2,000 jobs because of the local authority's 'anti-business' attitude.
