Sheffield City Council has launched its search to find its first chief executive in a decade to replace Sir Robert Kerslake. The council is not specifying a salary other than insisting it will be ‘competitive', and that it aims to appoint in June. Ken Green, assistant chief executive chief executive, OD and communications, said: ‘Both the city and the council have changed since Sir Robert started. The big focus now is moving from the regeneration agenda to the growth agenda.' Sir Robert left Sheffield last month to become the first director of the new Homes and Communities Agency, formed out of the merger of the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships.
