A concordat between two key organisations has been signed to improve the quality of life for adults with disabilities. The agreement between the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) and the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) also commits the groups to improving the quality of life for carers. Both organisations pledged to identify areas of common concern which can be addressed through better information sharing, increased collaboration, and more dedicated joint working. This is an important and exciting development for disabled people as we bring the complementary skills of our two organisations together,' said Anne Williams, president of ADASS.
