A 16th category has been added to The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2009, thanks to sponsorship from business services group, Mouchel. The Sustainable Transport Strategy Achievement of the Year will be awarded to the council which has done the most to improve the sustainability of the transport infrastructure within its boundaries. Judges will be looking for evidence of a coherent, long-term strategy which both helps communities and includes sound environmental principles. Mouchel is a consulting and business services group which provides design, management and operational skills for public services and to sustain infrastructure.
