A partnership between four local authorities in Wales – Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea – has been created in a bid to stop architectural and engineering services being abandoned to the private sector, resulting in a loss of skills for the region. A feasibility study, funded by the Making the Connections Improvement Fund, has been agreed, and will identify the most appropriate model for improving local provision of the services.
