Eyebrows were raised in MJ Towers when a Google news alert arrived in our inbox with the headline ‘County council criticised for buying limousine'.

Naturally, we had to look into this and were surprised to read that Northumberland CC was under fire from local MP Guy Opperman for spending more than £20,000 on a new vehicle to ferry council chairman, Cllr Kathy Graham, to functions.
