Birmingham City Council launches new board of city leaders to help create 'the vision and the strategic aims for a connected Birmingham'.

Birmingham City Council has launched a new board of city leaders and international experts to help create ‘the vision and the strategic aims for a smart connected Birmingham'.

Unveiled on 26 July, the Smart City Commission aims to improve services for citizens and support economic growth in Birmingham, with a focus on infrastructure and technology development. Experts from leading international firms such as IBM, SAP AG and Ferovial will join local academics and city council members and directors in sharing knowledge and expertise every three months or so.
