A skeleton model outside Edinburgh Dungeon sported a cigarette on Monday to mark the first day of the smoking ban in Scotland. The country's councils reported a smooth start to the ban on smoking in enclosed public places, claiming they were not aware of any cases of the law being flouted. Only a handful of people are believed to have contacted a national hotline to register a complaint.
