The distinct absence of festive snow across most of the UK has not stopped local authorities from providing seasonal cheer through a series of ‘Winter Wonderland' events.
Waltham Forest LBC's festive bash last weekend hosted more than 10,000 visitors, who enjoyed ice skating and rare attractions such as penguins and reindeer.
