Harry Phibbs looks at the response from the TCPA about the Government's proposal to sell surplus public land to build new homes.

The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) doesn't sound like a bastion of socialism.

Yet its response to a proposal from the Government to sell 7,000 acres of surplus public land to provide some 100,000 new homes is perhaps indicative of an ideological mindset at the TCPA which seems to favour state control over the free market.
