London Councils chief executive, John O'Brien, has said social enterprise projects are key to developing and delivering services to local communities. In a speech to the LA Connecting London conference, Mr O'Brien said social enterprises could help councils save money, following the recent CSR07 funding settlement. ‘Social enterprises are being increasingly successful at securing public sector contracts, but there are opportunities to do more,' said Mr O'Brien.
