Stockport MBC chief executive, John Schultz, has been elected as new president of SOLACE, the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers, at its annual meeting during last week’s LGA conference in Bournemouth. Mr Schultz succeeds Barry Quirk, chief executive at Lewisham LBC. Cardiff City Council chief executive, Byron Davies, has been elected to take over as vice-president from Mr Schultz. This year’s annual SOLACE conference will be held in October at Manchester International Convention Centre.
