South Tyneside MBC is on target to bring in an extra £4m in grants after achieving a government ‘top rating' for overall performance. The council has robust partnership plans in place and is performing well in key target areas, including tackling drug misuse, reducing domestic burglaries and helping people find jobs, in its ‘Vision for a better future'.
