A review into the controversial joint venture, Southwest One, has concluded that the public-private partnership ‘could do better'.

The review, which was commissioned by Somerset CC leader, Cllr Ken Maddock, recommended that Southwest One be renegotiated to deliver greater efficiencies. The joint venture between IBM, Somerset CC, Taunton Deane BC and Avon and Somerset Police has been criticised in the past, particularly by local MP, Ian Liddell-Grainger.
