High-flying council managers have until 5 December to apply to the Solace Foundation for the chance to win a place on a career development programme.
Twenty places are available on the ‘Springboard' programme, which comes with a free year's membership of chief executives' organisation Solace, an external mentor and a small programme of one-day workshops and shadowing opportunities.
Averil Price, director of safer communities at Chelmsford City Council and trustee of the Solace Foundation, said: ‘We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative managers who want to move into senior roles and in particular we are looking to support managers who may have moved into a more corporate role and are looking to broaden their understanding of the wider strategic challenges facing the public sector.'
