Basildon BC has reassured staff after personal details of all its staff appeared online last week.
The council's head of corporate services, Dawn French, said it was a ‘serious situation' and claimed the authority acted to rectify the problem as soon as it came to officials' attention. ‘We take this matter seriously and, accordingly, have already reported it to the information commissioner,' said Ms French.
