Council officers from authorities hosting Olympic and Paralympic events are set to work an average 50 hours extra in fulfilling additional games-related responsibilities, research has revealed.

Conducted by the Local Government Information Unit (LGiU), 126 council staff drawn from 27 London boroughs and authorities hosting events, including Surrey CC, Weymouth and Portland BC, Windsor and Maidenhead RBC were surveyed.
