Ofsted has launched a consultation, ending on 31 August, on proposed changes for the inspection of adoption and fostering agencies, following the introduction in April of new national minimum standards and statutory guidance.

Ofsted has launched a consultation, ending on 31 August, on proposed changes for the inspection of adoption and fostering agencies, following the introduction in April of new national minimum standards and statutory guidance.

To gain as true a picture of service provision as possible, the childcare regulator wants to slash the advance notification of inspection from eight weeks for adoption agencies and six weeks for fostering agencies to 10 working days.
