Croydon LBC is celebrating after achieving improvements in six of the 11 ‘use of resources' areas to achieve four-star status.

The council gained top marks in financial strategy, financial performance, risk management, internal control and VFM management.

Gavin Barwell, cabinet member of resources and customer services, said: ‘Given our commitment as a corporate priority to deliver a sound financial platform and value for money for our residents, these improvements have been delivered at the right time.'
