The Department for Education has signed a deal establishing the Early Intervention Foundation, a new charity which aims to help tackle the root causes of social problems spanning generations of families.
A consortium of bodies, including the Local Government Association, Public Health England and 4Children is helping set up the body – which is set for a formal launch this spring.
