It's not often that councillors surprise you with their voting habits, but the Conservative members of South Kesteven DC have managed to do just that by voting against a statute to honour former party leader and prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
Plans to build a statue in Mrs Thatcher's hometown of Grantham were defeated last week with 40 councillors voting against and only seven in favour.
