WORKFORCE

Strategic Director, People and Communities, North East Lincolnshire Council

We are looking for an outstanding leader to join our Council Management Team. As Strategic Director for People and Communities you will work closely with portfolio holders, officer colleagues, partners and wider stakeholders to lead the delivery of children's services, adult social services, public protection and health improvement.

Through the provision of strong corporate leadership in the range of functions within the portfolio your focus will be the delivery of outcomes. You will be able to anticipate, adapt and respond to a complex range of local and national priorities, exploring different delivery models to improve performance and build on the excellent progress we have achieved so far.

Central to this will be your skills as a bold and inclusive decision maker and an excellent communicator who is able to work collaboratively with colleagues and command the confidence of stakeholders.

Ideally you will have a social care and/or health background, from any sector. You will be a corporate player representing the whole council agenda, engaging effectively with key partners and stakeholders to build positive relationships.

Here at North East Lincolnshire Council we are not afraid to do things differently, and as a result we have been on quite a journey - establishing ground-breaking partnerships, seeking to re-design how the council works and looking at new ways to work with people, communities and businesses.

Essential to our success on this journey is having a strong leadership team who possess the drive, determination and vision to continue to steer our organisation through this period of significant transformation and make sure we continually challenge ourselves to achieve the best outcomes possible.

We are looking for people who have a sense of the big picture and are driven by the council's vision and direction, with a commitment to helping build our managers of the future.

If you're up for the challenge of either of these roles, then why not come and join us? You won't be disappointed.

Closing date: 18 February 2013
