Ongoing strike action by 40 car park attendants, which has extended to 20 toll collectors working on Itchen Bridge, could cost Southampton City Council up to £250,000 in lost revenue within a fortnight.

Trade unions Unite, Unison and GMB are co-ordinating efforts to force the council to join talks over a 4.5% pay cut, three-year-pay freeze and loss of annual pay progressions.
