The Japan Local Government Centre is inviting applications from senior UK council managers and members for its annual study tour to the country. The tour aims to foster a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and its local government system, and takes place between 15-25 October. This year’s theme is environmental and will include visits to Tokyo and the Aomori prefecture, an area of outstanding beauty in northern Japan.
