British Telecom has announced a 10-year, multimillion-pound contract to provide a corporate network across Sunderland City Council.
Under the plan, BT will connect 188 sites – including council buildings – as it attempts to make savings and improve local services. Cllr Paul Watson, leader of Sunderland City Council, said: ‘The strategic partnership with BT will help us build on the good work we've done, and deliver even better value for money for Sunderland's council taxpayers.'
