Housing 21 and Walsall MBC have signed a 30-year public-private partnership contract to transfer all the council's care homes and day care centres. The firm will take over running of the existing services and, over a three-year period, replace 10 residential care homes and six day centres with new units. Around 400 staff have also been transferred to Housing 21.
