The WLGA has called for better dialogue with the assembly government, following publication of a rubbish-collection report which, it claims, was a wasted opportunity. WLGA spokesman for environment and planning, Cllr Richard Parry Hughes, said: ‘I am surprised the assembly has published this report when the authors themselves have emphasised that there are inaccuracies in the data. ‘The report should carry a government health warning. There is also nothing particularly original about the findings.'
