London's 33 boroughs will receive support and advice from Daycare Trust and Firstcare Consultancy to ensure they meet government targets for free childcare services by September 2009. Councils must provide free childcare to 25% of three-year-olds from next autumn, and to all three and four-year-olds by September 2010. Consultants have been drafted in by the Government Office for London, to ensure authorities improve access for low income families.
