A Taunton Deane BC councillor has been criticised for moving to the Middle East while staying in charge of housing services. Cllr Greg Garner, who is the portfolio holder for housing services, runs his own consultancy firm and is currently working in the Middle East. Somerset county councillor, Ross Henley, said Cllr Garner should consider his position. A council spokesman said Cllr Garner was ‘well respected', but the council leader was now looking for another person to take over the portfolio.
