Taylor Wimpey looks set to work on a new project with Shepway DC and the Ministry of Defence to build 1,200 new homes at the Gurkha base in Kent. The MoD selected the building company as its preferred bidder to work on the project at the Shorncliffe Garrison in Folkestone.
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Shepway DC have drawn up a master plan to provide new housing on surplus brownfield land over the next 20 years.
