Rutland CC has signed a £3m deal with BT to roll out high-speed broadband to at least 90% of the county by the end of 2013.
The contract is part of the Government's Broadband Delivery UK programme. BT will contribute £800,000 to the project and the local authority will be responsible for the remaining £2.2m.
