New tenants face 'afordability checks' under UC

A survey has revealed, more than 60% of housing associatons believe their organisations will run affordability checks on new tenants.

More than 60% of housing associations believe their organisations will be running affordability checks on prospective new tenants by the time the single payment Universal Credit programme is fully rolled out, a survey has revealed.

Additionally, nearly 90% of housing professionals believed arrears would increase by 2017, a poll or more than 100 housing professionals by payment specialists allpay found.
