Councils have been urged to adopt a strategic ‘one public estate' approach to managing their property assets as a whole across their local area.
Speaking at a conference held on 26 May by the Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy (CIFPA), local government minister Baroness Hanham outlined why the Government was promoting place-based estate management and removing barriers.
