More than 8,000 residents in Barnet have called for a referendum against the London borough's controversial outsourcing plans.
A petition with the signatures, which has been organised by the Barnet Alliance for Public Services group, was due to be handed to Labour group and opposition leader, Cllr Alison Moore, on 22 January, after The MJ went to press.
