Businesses are lagging behind councils when it comes to mobile working, according to a new report from Consilium Technologies. The IT firm's chief technology officer, Gareth Tolerton, said mobile working strategies were critical to the future delivery of public services. Mr Tolerton said councils were using mobile technology for officers working in housing and environmental services. ‘Local government is under pressure to do more with less and many councils are now realising the tangible benefits a mobile working strategy can offer,' he added.
