The new Ofsted inspection regime for child protection services – which will include unannounced inspections – is right, but further clarity is needed over how the holistic approach will work, according to the Local Government Association (LGA).
Inspections will now take place over two weeks, and will put children and their families at the heart of the process, Ofsted has said.
