The Lib Dems regained a seat on Harrogate BC, costing the Conservatives the overall majority they had gained when a councillor defected.

The Lib Dems made a straight gain from the Tories on a 13.9% swing since 2007 at
Harborough DC.
Labour comfortably defended overall control of
Wakefield City, with the BNP dropping from second to third place and Conservatives from third to fourth.

Lib Dems defended a seat at
Taunton Deane BC, barely three months after a previous poll there.
