Torridge District Council provides a full range of services for its residents who live in one of the most beautiful and sparsely populated areas of England. Through strong leadership and careful management we have been able to meet all of the challenges thrown at us to date including ever increasing demands on our services and on-going budget cuts We are now looking for two Strategic Managers to work with our Head of Paid Service as key members of our most senior management team. Both will be responsible for commissioning and, where provided in-house, the delivery of a range of services. One will focus on external facing activities whilst the other will focus on an internal portfolio – and combine this with S151 responsibilities (and thus must be CCAB qualified). For both roles we are looking for people who can inspire and lead and who will see this role as a stepping stone to a role as a Head of Paid Service or similar; indeed we would expect to support an individual with their development towards such a role.
