A Conservative district and county councillor has begun 2013 by 'crossing the floor' and joining the Labour Party.

A Conservative district and county councillor has begun 2013 by ‘crossing the floor' and joining the Labour Party, after claiming PM David Cameron was ‘out of touch with ordinary citizens'.

Cllr Mohammad Bhatti, who has been a member of Chiltern DC since 1999 and Buckinghamshire CC since 2009, resigned from the Conservative Party and joined Labour on 2 January.
