A Bill enforcing tougher safety standards in residential tower blocks has been introduced in Parliament more than nine years after the Grenfell tragedy.
Under the Remediation of Unsafe Cladding Bill, freeholders and others responsible for building safety will be required to identify, assess and fix problems immediately, with anyone obstructing work facing criminal penalties.
