Lutfur Ali has been appointed assistant chief executive at Tower Hamlets LBC with responsibility for policy, performance and delivery at the council. He will join the council in September from the Waterhouse Consulting Group where he has worked as a senior partner since November 2007. Prior to this he was a director of Tribal Resourcing responsible for leadership, development, delivery and co-ordination of group-wide initiatives, improving business performance and enabling commercial advantage through diversity.
