Tower Hamlets LBC was highlighted in the Budget last week, after it was chosen by the Treasury as an example of how councils and local groups could work together. The Government will be using information from Tower Hamlets in the summer as an example of best practice to authorities across the country. ‘We are always aiming to work with voluntary and community groups which are harder to reach,' said lead member for research and scrutiny Michael Keating.
