Trafford MBC has launched a legal challenge against local government secretary Eric Pickles' decision to grant planning permission for a local incinerator.
Residents crammed into an extraordinary meeting of the council on 19 June to debate the planned Davyhulme Incinerator. Conservative-led Trafford MBC refused planning permission for the site in 2011, but the developer, Peel Energy, appealed.
